Shepherd’s Pie

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 4-5 potatoes, mashed
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomato
  • 5 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped

Mix beef, onion, breadcrumbs, sage, salt, and egg until well blended. Press into bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over top. Sprinkle evely with cheese.

Bake uncovered for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Then sprinkle with green onion, bacon, and tomato.

If frozen, thaw and bake as directed.
