Granola


  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (can be white)
  • 3 cups quick oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Mix all ingredients together. Stir together well, and spread thinly on two cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees until brown and crunchy. Stir about half way through baking so it doesn’t all stick together (about 35-40 minutes). Break into small bits and store in an air tight container.

Add peanut butter or chocolate chips, raisins, and/or other dried fruit after baking if desired.
