French Toast


  • 6-8 slices Texas toast
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • cinnamon sugar mixture

Cream Cheese topping:

  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 brown sugar

Heat a griddle to medium heat. Spray with cooking spray. Combine egg, milk, and vanilla in a low sided dish. Dip each piece of bread into egg mixture, coating both sides evenly. Sprinkle one side with cinnamon and sugar mixture and lay the bread face down on the griddle. Sprinkle the top of bread with cinnamon and sugar. Cook until golden brown, then flip and cook until crispy.

Prepare cream cheese topping: Mix together the cream cheese and brown sugar. Spread over french toast with a knife. Top with warm syrup.
